Gina Adams Gina Adams has been working in the fitness industry for 11 years. She is certified through AAAI/ISMA as a Pesonal Trainer, Sports Nutrition Consultant and Cardio Kickbox Instructor. Also, she has been certified through AFPA as a group fitness instructor and through REEBOK for Cycling and Reebok Deck Class. She is an energetic person who enjoys motivating people through exercise and giving her clients a sense of confidence and a high self-esteem. She enjoy helping them reasize how important it is to be as healthy as you can possibly be and there is no better way to do that than through diet and exercise.


Diane Baumgartner Diane Baumgartner has studied and taught dance most of her life. She graduated from the University of Maryland and University of Illinois with Master's degree in dance. She has taught modern dance, ballet, and jazz in colleges throughout the Baltimore-Washington area, and has choreographed and performed throughout the region. A second career in nursing led to an interest in healing arts, and incorporation of Reiki, guided imagery, and reflexology into her practice as a holistic nurse. Dian teaches Adult Ballet which is open to all ages of adults; beginner level, no experience needed, work at your individual level of comfort. Stretch, strengthen, move, increase flexibility and experience your inner dancer.


Carolyn Brennan Carolyn Brennan is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance and completed her 200 hour Pranakriya Teacher Training with Yoganand Michael Carroll. She has also studied the Kripalu and Vinyasa styles of yoga and completed a 100 hour immersion in Anusara Yoga. Her classes include elements from all these traditions with an emphasis on body awareness, joint alignment and use of the breath to be present with sensation. A former triathlete and group fitness instructor, Carolyn began practicing yoga in 1996. She credits the skills cultivated in her practice with helping her meet the challenges of daily life and be a more present and grounded mother, wife, daughter and friend. She also brings the experience of a 20 year career in nursing and health research to her teaching and holds a Masters of Public Health degree in Epidemiology. Carolyn is dedicated to providing a compassionate, fun and challenging environment in which to help others experience the benefits of yoga.


Sven Carlson Sven Carlson is a Conscious Connected Breathing Practitioner, Practitioner of Structural Integration, and a Reiki Master Teacher. He is also certified in Cranio Sacral Therapy and Thai Massage. He teaches Breathing Meditation and Dowsing workshops with his wife Susan Gash.


Amanda Showell Cook Dancing on the shore started 6 years ago and is owned by professional ballroom dance instructor Amanda Showell Cook. Amanda is a former professional and amateur competitive champion. Dancing on the shore offers group and private ballroom dance instruction to all levels and ages. Lessons available in American Smooth & Rhythm, International Standard & Latin as well as East coast swing, West Coast swing, Hustle and Argentine tango. We also offer special classes for students with disabilities. We are proud to be able to offer instruction all over the Eastern shore with locations in Easton, St. Michaels, Centreville, Salisbury and Greensborough.

Susan Gash Susan Gash is a certified movement analyst with over 25 years of professional dance theatre experience. She teaches Breathing Meditation and Dowsing workshops with her husband Sven Carlson. Seasonally, in various locations, Susan holds special movement retreats for women. Paulette Florio Paulette Florio is a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) specializing in Neuromuscular Massage Therapy for 20 years. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, has studied yoga for 45 years and has taught yoga for 20 years. She completed the Yoga Works™ teacher training in October 2006 at Georgetown Yoga in DC. Currently she teaches a blend of her yoga experience (lyengar, Tri Yoga, Anusara and Yoga Works). In her classes Paulette focuses on proper alignment, placement of the body on the yoga mat and cultivating the breath. She offers Level 1, Level 2, Restorative, Men's Yoga as well as retreats. Visit her at St. Michaels Yoga. Also, earlier this year Paulette completed training in both Zumba® and Zumba Gold® and ocassionally offers classes at The Studio.


Susie Hollister-Schell Susie Hollister-Schell is a certified Svaroopa® Yoga teacher (CSYT) and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. She has completed over 500 hours in Svaroopa® Yoga training and continues to train in the Svaroopa® Yoga Advanced Teacher Training and Yoga Therapy Training Programs. Susie has been teaching Svaroopa® Yoga since 1998. Svaroopa® Yoga is a style of hatha yoga that reaches deeply into the spine to create an inner opening and release of tension held in the body and mind. The key principle of "core opening" is distinctive from other styles of yoga and helps facilitate an inner sense of peace and personal transformation. Svaroopa® Yoga's underlying principle to attain "core opening" is "support equals release". Susie gently guides students through various yoga postures using the support of several blankets, connects them to their breath and then to a place of profoundly deep release. The class both begins and ends in savasana, relaxation pose.


Mandie Shockley Mandie Shockley is a certified Zumba Gold® instructor. She brings a fun hour of latin music based dance fitness to The Studio every Tuesday and Thursday evening. Her motto is "Join the party!" Getting in shape has never been so much fun.


Sandra Showell Sandra Showell - Sandra is an Eastern shore native and has been ballroom dancing for 20 years. Sandra competed successfully as an amateur during the 1990's. She has had coaching from many of the best instructors in the country and also owned her own ballroom and dance studio in Delaware for several years. She is excited to be able to teaching in St. Michaels.


Dell St. Ana Dell St. Ana has practiced Tai Chi Chuan for more than 20 years and has taught locally since 1995. Dell is also a Usui Reiki master/teacher. She teaches beginner and intermediate t'ai chi classes as well as Sit,Walk Fly, a t'ai chi and meditation workshop for children 4-8 year old.


Tim Washburn Tim Washburn is a 200-hour Registered Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Body Worker. He is a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher having studied under Priti Robyn Ross and Rudy Peirce. His personal practice began under the direction of Tias Little and Baron Baptiste. These two great but very different in style teachers taught him valuable lessons in being authentic as a teacher and in his personal practice. Tim is a former college lacrosse player, USAF Pararescueman, and triathlete. His teaching style is a combination of both Kripalu and Baptiste power yoga with an emphasis on helping his students grow in body, mind and spirit.
